Supporting you and the family through cancer diagnosis
I started Triumph Over Troubles as a way to share my experiences and motivate others that we can have joy during our troubles. At the age of 40, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I took solace and peace in scripture, which guided me to the notion that in life we will have troubles, but we can live with joy in some, most or even all of these moments. We must give ourselves the time to grieve, but it is important for our recovery that we do not remain grieved.
I have been happily married to my husband for 14 years and we have been blessed with two daughters and a son. Aged 13, 10 and 5. A diagnosis such as mine not only affected me, but my family. Their world was turned upside down and after they grieved for my diagnosis, they also received the joy through their troubles as my children and husband. We want to be here for your family too.

Throughout my journey, God's word has provided a source of comfort. The word of God is referenced as being sharper than any two-edged sword in Hebrews 4:12. During different stages of my journey, the word of God pierced through my anxieties, worries, physical pain and negative thoughts. As I declared them out aloud, I felt stronger in mind, body and spirit.
Prayer in times of troubles isn't always easy. At times, you just need the prayer support of the people around you. We would love to pray for you and be that support for you. Ephesians 6:18 tells us to pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people.
We are blessed to have lots of creative people around us, who would love to share their creative talents with you. From talented artists, skilled florists, and even cake makers (well that's me). I personally know that chemo treatments can take a toll on our bodies, but thankfully there are some better days. When you are used to being busy, the void of being off sick can be quite daunting. With this in mind, I wanted to create an opportunity for those better days and fill it to the brim with joy!
Philippians 4:4 : Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice.
When I was pregnant, I remember the joy in receiving a pack from hospital. Opening this pack was a welcome distraction from the symptoms and uncertainty of pregnancy. Psalm 130:5 says I wait for the LORD, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. Whilst we wait for our restoration, we can always have hope. This inspired us to create and donate party boxes for children staying in hospital. We have also created chemo, cold cap and children boxes. These are free, so please contact us if you would like one.
